Kristin Heidkamp has lived in Mecklenburg County for six years and is excited to call North Carolina home.
Kristin worked as political fundraising consultant for 20 years and worked for the ninth Congressional district candidates in the 2018 and 2020 cycle. She is involved in her local community having served as a precinct chair for the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party, as past President for the Royal Theatre Patrons at Ardrey Kell High School, as Treasurer for the Reproductive Rights Coalition, as a non-partisan poll worker and numerous positions at her children’s schools.
Kristin is excited to be part of the New Rural Project and be a part of a movement to increase participation in the political process. She firmly believes that everyone should exercise their right to vote and take an active role in the political process.
A Virginia native, Kristin grew up in Virginia Beach and spent 20 years in the northern Virginia area. She currently lives in South Charlotte with her husband, Phil, three kids, two dogs and one very old cat. She’s a political junkie, avid reader and very passionate about tennis, both playing and watching.
